Decorative gas fires, also known as coal effect or inset fires can add a touch of style to any room.

Whilst their heat output is generally low, they act as a complementary source of heating in addition to standard radiators, underfloor heating or electric heaters.

Combined with an attractive hearth and mantelpiece and they become a focus point.

Modern gas fires still need a chimney but there are many styles and systems to choose from.

Rule number two - don't forget rule number one

Make sure the engineer you use is Gas Safe registered - Its the law!

Gas Safe Register is the official list of gas engineers who are qualified to work safely and legally on gas appliances. By law, all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register. It replaced CORGI. Don’t cut corners by using illegal gas fitters – cutting corners can cost lives. Always use a Gas Safe registered engineer to carry out any gas work and remember to check the engineer’s Gas Safe Register ID card.

You can see the details of our registration by visiting www.GasSafeRegister.co.uk or calling 0800 408 5500.
